Abstract

This a study on the Electronic Handbook of the Patient. The focus is the use. One searched to understand the possibility of beginning of a process of Information Literacy from the insertion of the data in the electronic handbook and of the relations that if establish with the information registered in this technological tool. For in such a way the Center of Seen Health was chosen Glad as empirical unit of analysis. This Center of Health is located in the Region West of Belo Horizonte, the quarter Nova Cintra and is a unit pilot of the project Management Health in Net -BH. The project is an initiative of the Municipal City of Belo Horizonte and use technologies of the information in the direction to make possible the joint between the assistenciais and administrative areas. Integrant ones of the health team had been interviewed 10 (ten) that acts in the Center of Seen Health Glad. The results show that the electronic handbook is well accepted for the team and provides many advantages in the attendance installment to the patient. It has agradual trend in the comprometimento with the register of the information. The interviewed citizens extremely present pertinent characteristics to the process of Information Literacy, such ascapacity criticizes, good relationship with the technology and greater propensity to the learning through the daily exchanges with its pairs.
