dc.description.abstract	This research developed a study about the use of the color of the paint and had as objective identify the color as a fundamental element of the paint in teaching/ learning about Visual Arts. The methodology used in this work was a bibliographical character based in a study about on the teaching of art education in Brazil, in theoretical study of color taking as means of orientation of Israel Pedrosa, and in the use of paint color. From this study was possible to check attributes of color and light, fundamental to qualification of expressiveness. The analyzed process came from the historic teaching of Art followed by the study of color theory, nearing till the analysis of paintings done by students from 9 years of public school of a public school that belongs to the fundamental teaching from Frei Angélico de Campora in GV- MG who provided more consistent results for the understanding of the use of the color in painting allowing more solidified knowledge about the relevance and teaching color classes of Visual Arts.	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	Esta pesquisa desenvolveu um estudo sobre o uso de cor na pintura e teve como objetivo identificar a cor como elemento fundamental da pintura no ensino/aprendizagem de Artes Visuais. A metodologia empregada nesse trabalho teve o caráter bibliográfico baseado em um estudo sobre o ensino de arte na educação brasileira, no estudo teórico da cor, tendo como meio de orientação os conhecimentos de Israel Pedrosa, e no emprego da cor na pintura. A partir desse estudo, foi possível verificar atributos da cor e da luz, fundamentais para a qualificação da expressividade. O processo analisado partiu do histórico do Ensino de Arte seguido do estudo da teoria da cor, chegando até a análise de pinturas realizadas por alunos do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental da Escola Frei Angélico de Campora, em Governador Valadares MG, que proporcionou resultados mais consistentes para a compreensão do uso de cores na pintura permitindo um conhecimento mais solidificado sobre a relevância e o ensino da cor nas aulas de Artes Visuais.	pt_BR
