dc.description.abstract	Aging is a natural and irreversible process that modifies the body both physically and psychically. It is a step susceptible to falls and serious consequences may even lead to death. Concerned with prevention of this episode in the elderlys life, I chose to prepare a proposal for intervention to prevent or reduce the risk of falls in the elderly in the area of PFH- 5 Maria da Conceição de Faria Program of Family Health Itaú de Minas -MG. The work was composed of a narrative review of the literature on the subject falls in the elderly with their consequences and the risk factors and the proposal which addresses preventive actions. Therefore the occurrence can be prevented with proper and effective preventive measures. Strictly speaking there are two risk factors for falls which are related to extrinsic environmental and intrinsic aging itself and related diseases. It is expected that with the implementation of this project decrease the number of accidents caused by falls in the elderly at home.	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	Envelhecer é um processo natural e irreversível que modifica o organismo tanto fisicamente como psiquicamente. É uma etapa susceptível a quedas com graves consequências inclusive podendo levar a óbito. Preocupada com a prevenção deste episódio na vida do idoso, optei por laborar uma proposta de intervenção para prevenir ou amenizar os riscos de quedas em idosos na área de abrangência do PSF 5 Maria da Conceição de Faria do Programa de Saúde da Família de Itaú de Minas-MG. O trabalho foi composto por uma revisão narrativa da literatura acerca do tema queda em idosos com suas consequências e os fatores de risco e a proposta onde aborda ações preventivas. Portanto a ocorrência pode ser evitada com medidas preventivas corretas e eficazes. A bem dizer existem dois fatores de risco de quedas quais sejam os extrínsecos relacionados ao ambiente e os intrínsecos relacionados ao próprio envelhecer e agravos. Espera-se que com a implantação deste projeto diminua o número de acidentes causados pelas quedas no domicílio do idoso.	pt_BR
