Estudo da soldagem a laser em próteses odontológicas

Abstract

The objective of this work is to present a literature review of laser welding on dental prosthesis. The laser welding is becoming increasingly used in dentistry for making fixed prosthesis since the 70's. In Brazil, the laser welding was introduced in 1997 and has been used to replace other welding processes, especially at the soldering in the manufacture of dental prostheses. Each alloy has different attributes that will influence the outcome of the welding process as well as the physical parameters of the laser machine. This work will describe the advantages and disadvantages of laser welding, its indications and limitations.
