Território, transferência e tratamento : a psicanálise nas clínicas públicas

Abstract

This research investigates the dimension of transference and treatment in public psychoanalysis clinics in Brazil, focusing on the relationship of these dimensions to the territory, a concept that is extimate to psychoanalysis, but which comes into vogue in the psychoanalytic praxis in public spaces. We propose the territory as an operator and geopolitical marker in the direction of a given treatment, in the management of transference and in the design or modulation of the clinical setting. The analysis was carried out from the editorial collection "Clínicas de Borda", which brings together experiences from 22 collectives and public clinics around the country. We seek to understand how psychoanalysis reinvents itself by being practiced in public spaces, when challenged by the geopolitical and social reality in which it is inserted. The research is located in the historical context of a growing movement to democratize access to clinical and psychoanalysis training in Brazil, marked by the creation of collectives that work in different territories, such as favelas, outskirts, occupations, squares, stations and virtual spaces. The investigation focuses on the question about the transformations in clinical practice, especially with regard to the transference, setting and direction of treatment. The research seeks to demonstrate that psychoanalysis in public spaces is a practice in continuous construction and transformation, which requires constant reflection on the challenges and possibilities of the clinic, as well as the psychoanalytic foundations and assumptions. As results, we realize that the transference - traditionally associated with the individualized relationship between analyst and analysand - reveals itself as a complex and multifaceted phenomenon in this context, shaped by the particularities of each social and historical context. The clinical setting, in turn, becomes more flexible and adaptable, requiring the creation of devices and strategies that allow the listening and welcoming of subjects under the public interface. The territory, in this context, emerges as a fundamental element, influencing clinical practice and modulating the direction and management of interventions, becoming a geopolitical operator in the clinic. The research is expected to contribute to the psychoanalytic field by understanding how psychoanalysis adapts and reinvents itself when practiced in complex social and political contexts. Identifying the potentialities and challenges of psychoanalysis in public spaces, we hope to contribute to the construction of a psychoanalysis more committed to social justice and the transformation of social realities.
