| dc.description.abstract | The present work had the objective of presenting the terminology of the ox cart present in the rural vocabulary of the municipality of Passos, which is located in the southern/southwest mesoregion of Minas Gerais. The purpose of this analysis was to show that the terminology studies show a close relationship between the man, the culture and the environment in which they are inserted. The results obtained through our research evidenced historical, social and cultural aspects of the region, highlighting the importance of the ox cart in the culture and economy of the municipality surveyed. | |

| local.description.resumo | O presente trabalho teve como objetivo a apresentação da terminologia do carro de boi presente no vocabulário rural do município de Passos, que se localiza na mesorregião sul/sudoeste de Minas Gerais. A proposta, desta análise, foi mostrar que os estudos terminológicos apontam estreita relação entre o homem, a cultura e o ambiente em que se inserem. Os resultados obtidos por meio de nossa pesquisa evidenciaram aspectos históricos, sociais e culturais da região, destacando a importância do carro de boi na cultura e economia do município pesquisado. | |
