Resumo
Esta pesquisa propõe o estudo da emergência e da significação da literatura noir em Israel na contemporaneidade, em contraposição à tradicional literatura hebraica de fundo religioso, e à tradicional literatura israelense, a qual se viu entrelaçada à questão da identidade nacional. Como outro termo comparativo, a tese traz à cena, em alguma medida, a literatura da diáspora judaica. A partir desses elementos, a investigação sobre o gênero criminal na literatura contemporânea de Israel é desenvolvida com foco na obra dos escritores Etgar Keret e Assaf Gavron e, em especial, de seus trabalhos como organizadores da coletânea de contos Tel Aviv Noir, publicada em 2014, na qual os escritores dividem espaço com outros doze escritores. Como ponto de partida para o trabalho teórico, foram traduzidos e analisados os contos “Alergias”, de Keret, e “Center”, de Gavron, constantes da antologia.
Abstract
This research proposes the study of the emergence and significance of noir literature in Israel in contemporary times, in contrast to the traditional Hebrew literature with a religious background, and the traditional Israeli literature, which was intertwined with the question of national identity. As another comparative term, the thesis brings to the fore, to some extent, the literature of the Jewish diaspora. Based on these elements, the investigation of the criminal genre in contemporary Israeli literature is developed with a focus on the authorial work of writers Etgar Keret and Assaf Gavron and, in particular, on their work as organizers of the collection of short stories Tel Aviv Noir, published in 2014, in which the writers share space with twelve other writers. As a starting point for the theoretical work, the short stories “Allergies”, by Keret, and “Center”, by Gavron, contained in that anthology, were translated and analyzed.
