Os estudos sobre a educação de bebês no Brasil

Abstract

We analyzed the published research on infants/toddlers education allocated on the Scientific Electronic Library Onlineand Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superiorin the last eighteen years. Our aim is to understand the trajectory of constitution of a field of research and the trends of the production of knowledge about infants/toddlers in collective contexts. The research analyzed (i) raises the need to confront the understanding of infant/toddler that goes beyond the notion of age; (ii) points to a search for understanding on what infants/toddlers do when they are together in these contexts; and (iii) it strengthens our understanding of the process of constitution of a field of studies on infants driven by the increasing insertion of these children in Early Childhood Education in the last two decades.
