Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar os saberes psicológicos que circularam na Escola Normal de Ouro Preto entre 1890 e 1930. Para o trabalho utilizamos o referencial teórico da história da Psicologia e a análise documental. Os documentos consultados foram localizados em três acervos: no Arquivo Público Mineiro; em arquivo referente à Escola Normal de Ouro Preto, que atualmente se encontra na Escola Estadual Dom Veloso em Ouro Preto; e na biblioteca da Assembleia Legislativa do Estado de Minas Gerais. O principal objeto de análise foram as avaliações dos alunos e os resultados mostraram que desde a década de 1880, com a inclusão de matérias de cunho pedagógico no currículo da Escola Normal de Ouro Preto, havia a circulação de diferentes saberes psicológicos, tais como memória e faculdades intelectuais, que auxiliaram na formação de professores e que a Psicologia como área específica de conhecimento também já fazia parte desta formação.
Abstract
This research aimed to carry out a study of the psychological knowledge that circulated at the Ouro Preto Teacher Training School in the period from 1890 to 1930. We based our study on the theoretical framework of the history of psychology and analysis of documents. Documents were found in three collections: Arquivo Público Mineiro - The Public Archives of Minas Gerais; files concerning the Ouro Preto Teacher Training School, which are currently kept at the State School Dom Veloso in Ouro Preto; and in the library of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Minas Gerais. The main objects of analysis were the students‟ assessments and results showed that, since the 1880 decade, with the inclusion of subjects bearing pedagogical issues in the syllabus of the Ouro Preto Teacher Training School, there had been the circulation of different types of psychological knowledge such as memory and intellectual faculties, which helped to train teachers and, furthermore, that psychology, as a specific area of knowledge, was already a part of this training.
