dc.description.abstractThe present work studies the diabetic foot, their implications in the health, your symptoms, as well as the form of to live together and to take care of that problem. Gets the attention for the diagnosis and the complications that the care lack can cart, besides the high numbers of amputations happened in function of the diabetic foot. Also approaches the patients need to know more on the disease and if solemnity manages day by day with the high care in the. The objective of this research was to accomplish a revision bibliography regarding the theme in the period of 1998 á 2010 analyzing concepts and to enlarge the knowledge on the theme. The study was a descriptive, exploratory and bibliographic nature, from scientific articles, scientific journals, books and periodicals. Through the revision it was noticed that in most of the cases, the lesions of the inferior members can be avoided and 50% of the amputations can be forewarned through the implementation of educational actions for professionals, for the diabetics and family. The present work us to acquire a better knowledge on the diabetic foot, to understand the gravity of the disease as well as prevention forms and treatment.

local.description.resumoO presente trabalho tem como objetivo estuda o pé diabético, suas implicações na saúde, seus sintomas, assim como a forma de conviver e cuidar desse problema. Chama a atenção para o diagnóstico e as complicações que a falta de cuidado pode acarretar, inclusive os altos números de amputações ocorridas em função do pé diabético. Aborda também a necessidade dos pacientes conhecerem mais sobre a doença e gerenciarem o autocuidado no dia a dia. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi realizar uma revisão bibliografia referente ao tema; no período de 1998 á 2010, analisando conceitos e ampliando o conhecimento sobre o tema. O estudo realizado foi do tipo descritivo, exploratório e de natureza bibliográfica, partir de artigos científicos, revistas cientificas, livros e periódicos. Através da revisão percebeu-se que, na maioria dos casos, as lesões dos membros inferiores podem ser evitadas e 50% das amputações podem ser prevenidas através da implementação de ações educativas para profissionais e para os diabéticos e seus familiares. O presente trabalho nos permitiu adquirir um melhor conhecimento sobre o pé diabético, entender a gravidade da doença assim como suas formas de prevenção e tratamento.
