| dc.description.abstract | O artigo analisa os acontecimentos recentes no Brasil que culminaram em um movimento que chamo de “militarização da política”. Mudanças na jurisdição militar, discursos políticos de membros das Forças Armadas, uma “interferência federal” comandada por militares no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, o cumprimento de tradicionais cargos civis no governo federal (como o Ministério da Defesa), paralelamente a a ausência de responsabilidade criminal por crimes contra a humanidade durante a ditadura de 1964-1985, abriu caminho para maus resultados em termos de segurança pública e um perigo crescente para o Estado Democrático Constitucional projetado pela Constituição de 1988. | |

| local.description.resumo | The article provides analyses of the recent events in Brazil that culminated in a movement that I call “militarization of politics.” Changes in military jurisdiction, political speeches by members of the Armed Forces, a “federal interference” commanded by militaries in the State of Rio de Janeiro, the fulfillment of the traditional civilian offices in federal government (as the Ministry of Defense), parallel to the absence of criminal responsibility for crimes against humanity during the dictatorship of 1964-1985, paved the way for poor results in terms of public security and a growing peril for the Constitutional Democratic State designed by the Constitution of 1988. | |
