O objetivo deste artigo é situar historicamente a temática “sentidos do trabalho”, construindo uma síntese teórica e apresentando como se deu sua construção epistemológica a partir de dois autores de destaque na produção brasileira: Estelle Monique Morin e Ricardo Luiz Coltro Antunes. Alguns pesquisadores têm utilizado essas referências como complementares. Questiona-se: é possível construir um diálogo entre as matrizes epistemológicas em que os dois autores estão inseridos? Para essa discussão, utilizou-se a tese da incomensurabilidade dos paradigmas, de Burrell e Morgan (1979), e o Círculo das Matrizes Epistêmicas, de Paes de Paula (2016). O diálogo entre esses autores é epistemologicamente incoerente em virtude da impossibilidade de conciliação entre os interesses cognitivos de cada matriz epistêmica que o autor e a autora constroem em suas abordagens sobre os sentidos do trabalho. Neste sentido, evitam-se interpretações equivocadas e proposições incoerentes de diálogos entre eles, o que representa uma importante orientação para a condução de pesquisas futuras.
Abstract
The objective of this article is to historically situate the theme “meanings of work”, building a theoretical synthesis and presenting how its epistemological construction took place based on two prominent authors in Brazil: Estelle Morin and Ricardo Antunes. Some researchers have used these references as complementary. The question is: is it possible to build a dialogue between the epistemological matrices in which the two authors are inserted? For this discussion, we used the thesis of the incommensurability of paradigms, by Burrell and Morgan (1979) and the Circle of Epistemic Matrices, by Paes de Paula (2016). The dialogue between these authors is epistemologically incoherent due to the impossibility of reconciling the cognitive interests of each epistemic matrix that the author and the author build their approaches to the meanings of the work. In this sense, it avoids misinterpretations and inconsistent propositions of dialogues between them, which represents an important guideline for conducting future research.
