Resumo
A presente investigação histórica tem como objetivo principal destrinchar e analisar as campanhas de combate a Guerrilha do Araguaia, desencadeadas sucessivamente pelas Forças Armadas, de abril de 1972 a outubro de 1974. Para tanto, o nosso trabalho percorreu a trajetória do PCdoB, explorando suas influências políticas e militares; examinou toda estruturação e organização da guerrilha no Bico do Papagaio e por fim, investigou as operações militares que culminaram no aniquilamento do movimento guerrilheiro. Sob a luz do conceito de Legalidade Autoritária, cunhado pelo cientista político Anthony Pereira, o trabalho aqui desenvolvido deu destaque para a ação batizada pelos militares de Marajoara. Analisando suas especificidades, defendemos a hipótese de que a operação foi concebida, estruturada e executada para o extermínio da Guerrilha do Araguaia.
Abstract
The main objective of this historical investigation is to uncover and analyze the campaigns to combat the Araguaia guerrilla, triggered successively by the armed forces, from April 1972 to October 1974. To this end, our work has gone through the trajectory of the PCdoB, exploring its political and military influences; examined the entire structure and organization of the guerrilla in the parrot beak and finally investigated the military operations that culminated in the annihilation of the guerrilla movement. Under the light of the concept of authoritarian legality, coined by the political scientist Anthony Pereira, the work here developed highlighted the action christened by the military of Marajoara. Analyzing its specificities, we defend the hypothesis that the operation was conceived, structured and executed for the extermination of the Araguaia guerrilla.
