Integração entre o atendimento de urgência odontológica com o atendimento odontológico na atenção primária na região oeste de Belo Horizonte

Abstract

Since the implantation of the services of odontológica urgency in the UPA WEST in 1992, it is evidenced lack of interaction of the works of this unit with the UBSs. Such fact all caused damage for the service. The Health department stimulates the implantation of the odontológicas urgencies in Units of Ready Attendance, being already reality in many Brazilian cities. The objective of this work is to know the problems of the UPA WEST for the optics of the users and the surgeons dentists of the primary attention of the Sanitary District West, with sight to the improvement of the given service. The used methodology was the collection of data through questionnaires structuralized with users of the UPA WEST and the surgeons dentists of the primary attention of the same region. The results had shown that the users are satisfied with: the service, the access, the shelter and the equipment and if had shown unsatisfied with: the schedules and days of functioning; the carried through procedures and the resolutividade of the service. With regard to the surgeons dentists the results had shown to the satisfaction in relation to the service and its localization and insatisfação with the knowledge on the service; schedules and days of functioning; carried through procedures; the number of urgencies taken care of in the units of primary attention and the reached resolutividade. These results had pointed with respect to an intervention proposal that includes mainly: mobilization of all the coordination levels; equipment of the UPA WEST; creation of resolutive and productive protocols; modification of schedule and days of attendance of the odontológica urgency and courses of perfectioning and qualification to the professionals of the odontológica urgency of the UPA WEST.
