Intervenções educativas para prevenção da úlcera por pressão na prática clínica por profissionais de enfermagem de Unidade de Tratamento Intensivo

Abstract

The pressure ulcers (PU) is considered a major health problem, educational interventions associated with recommendations to clinical practice evidence-based can encourage improvements in the quality of care. The objective of the study is to evaluate the results of the educational interventions for the adoption of PU prevention measures by the nursing staff of intensive care. The methodology was guided by the Teaching and Learning Process and Integrative Review. The gathering took place in November 2014 in the databases LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, IBECS, SCIELO and the Cochrane Library, through the Educational Instruction, Health Fairs, Education Department Hospital, Education Nursing, Education Nursing Continuing, Training, Education, Inservice Training, Nursing Team, Nursing Staff, Pressure Ulcer, Intensive Care Units, Intensive Care Unit, Centers for Intensive Care, Intensive Care Unit descriptors and the keywords Instructions Education and Nursing Personnel. 12 articles were identified and were selected two that met the inclusion criteria. Both studies from the sample were performed by nurses and published in English in nursing and medicine journals in 2006 and 2008. Both were descriptive research, in which the sample was nurses and members of the clinical staff of health institutions. 17 recommendations were established, eight on educational interventions for preventing PU (level VI), and nine on implementation of educational strategies (level VI). The conclusion is that the implementation of educational practices based on evidences and good practice decreases the incidence and prevalence of PU, being the education process an inherent dimension to care, labor and social transformation.
