dc.description.abstractAnchored on the theoretical studies such as Selma Calasans Rodrigues (1988), Remo Ceserani (2006), Tzvetan Todorov (1970), Irlemar Chiampi (1980), Irène Bessière (1974) and the writer and reviewer, Jorge Luís Borges (1985), among others, it was ensued to analyze the link between fantastic literature and the possible reasons to the adoption of this gender by latin americans writers, specifically, on the works “The flock: The devil’s burial”, by Gabriel García Márquez, and “The two deaths of Quincas Wateryell”, by Jorge Amado, having as an initial hypothesis the fortification of the latin american literature, as such a genre has as raw material for the construction of its narratives themes linked to the culture of latin americans, such as myths, legends, esotericism, necromancy etc.

local.description.resumoAncorados nos estudos de teóricos como Selma Calasans Rodrigues (1988), Remo Ceserani (2006), Tzvetan Todorov (1970), Irlemar Chiampi (1980), Irène Bessière (1974) e o escritor e crítico Jorge Luís Borges (1985), dentre outros, buscou-se analisar a relação entre literatura fantástica e as possíveis razões para a adoção desse gênero por escritores latino-americanos, especificamente, nas obras A revoada (o enterro do diabo), de Gabriel García Márquez, e A morte e a morte de Quincas Berro D’Água, de Jorge Amado, tendo como hipótese inicial o fortalecimento da literatura latino-americana, haja vista que tal gênero tem como matéria-prima à construção de suas narrativas temas ligados à cultura dos latino-americanos, tais como mitos, lendas, esoterismo, nicromancia etc.
