Resumo
Nesta pesquisa trabalharei com a temática: Games e Narrativas. Ao longo deste trabalho iremos percorrer um caminho, ou melhor, um possível encadeamento narratológico que, de certa forma, pode conceder aos jogadores do game The Sims, a possibilidade de se expressarem e abordarem o cotidiano através de diferentes formas narrativas. Nesse trajeto, iremos analisar além do gameplay do jogo, as possibilidades narrativas do site oficial de The Sims, e as publicações dos diários virtuais do game, que são escritospelos próprios jogadores a partir do cibercotiano de seus avatares. Tentaremos perceber ao logo da pesquisa, como os jogadores conseguem se expressar, experimentar novas formas de tensionar e se fazer presente no mundo, por meio de uma das diversas possibilidades digitais de narrativa.
Abstract
This research will work with the theme: Games and Narratives. Throughout this paper we follow a path, or rather a possible "narratological chain" that somehow, could give to players of The Sims, the possibility to express and address their everyday life throughdifferent narrative forms. In this path, we will look beyond the gameplay, and try to analyze the narrative possibilities of the official website of the game, and the publications of the "The Sims diaries", that are written by the players themselves about the life of their avatars. We will try to see throughout this research, how the players can express themselves, try new ways to interact and to be present in the world through one of severalpossibilities of digital storytelling.
