Resumo
Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar como uma sequência didática investigativa, pode ser desenvolvida no ambiente escolar hospitalar, focando na compreensão dos pigmentos vegetais e suas funções biológicas. A pesquisa foi realizada com três alunos do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental em um hospital
especializado em tratamentos oncológicos, o Hospital GRAACC, por meio da Escola Móvel/Aluno Específico (EMAE). A sequência didática foi composta por
quatro aulas, nas quais os alunos investigaram a cor das plantas, formulando hipóteses, realizando experimentos e discutindo os resultados. A análise
qualitativa dos dados coletados mostrou que a abordagem investigativa favoreceu o desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico e científico dos estudantes,
permitindo-lhes passar de concepções intuitivas para explicações mais estruturadas sobre os processos fisiológicos das plantas. Apesar de ainda
apresentarem algumas dificuldades conceituais, principalmente em relação às funções biológicas dos pigmentos, os alunos demonstraram avanços
significativos, especialmente em associar os pigmentos às funções da fotossíntese e à absorção de luz.
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate how an investigative teaching sequence, can be developed in a school-hospital environment, focusing on the understanding of
plant pigments and their biological functions. The research was conducted with three 7th grade elementary school students at a hospital specializing in oncology
treatments, the GRAACC Hospital, through the Mobile School/Specific Student (EMAE). The teaching sequence consisted of four classes, in which the students
investigated the color of plants, formulating hypotheses, conducting experiments, and discussing the results. The qualitative analysis of the collected data showed that the investigative approach favored the development of critical and scientific thinking in the students, allowing them to move from intuitive conceptions to more
structured explanations about the physiological processes of plants. Although they still presented some conceptual difficulties, mainly in relation to the biological
functions of pigments, the students demonstrated significant progress, especially in associating pigments with the functions of photosynthesis and light absorption.
