Tecnologia lítica: análise diacrônica dos níveis mais antigos do sítio arqueológico Bibocas II, Jequitaí - MG

Abstract

This dissertation presents the technologic analysis concerning about the lithic material excavated from the ancient archaeological sites of Bibocas II, located at the city of Jequitaí, MG. Throughout the analysis of stone remains (nearly the only single representative register of the pre historical occupations found during the excavation), we intend to understand the Knapping activities and the way the lithic raw materials were used. The technologic analysis and the assemblement of the operatory chains are the central members of this matter, once we object to identify and delimitate the changes and continuities in the stratigraphy. Thereby, it is possible to understand the ways of usage and occupation of this shelter through times.
