A educação em saúde e o câncer: perspectivas para a prevenção e a promoção da saúde

| dc.description.abstract | Cancer is the second cause of death in the Brazil, being an important issue in public health. The most common types of cancers in developing countries would be prevented. Then, will be made a synthesis of the Brazilian scientific production looking for relationship behind health education and prevention and control of cancer. In this way, was realized a integrative revision of the literature, in Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde BVS, using the keywords: heath promotion, health education and neoplasms. The initial sample was counted 158 papers. After use the inclusion criteria, was selected 11 papers to analysis. The papers were separated in for categories and the principal approach of then had relation with the power of media, the educational campaigns, the health communication, and the educational practices in relation to cancer. Its observed with health promotion and health education are equally important to control the evolution of cancer in the country and should be considered as tolls to this objective.Cancer is the second cause of death in the Brazil, being an important issue in public health. | local.description.resumo | O câncer se destaca no cenário nacional brasileiro como a segunda causa de morte, tornando-se um problema de saúde pública. Os tipos de cânceres mais frequentes nos países em desenvolvimento apresentam possibilidades de intervenção, no que diz respeito a medidas preveníveis. Assim, pretende-se realizar uma síntese da produção científica brasileira que tenha como foco e relacione a educação em saúde com a prevenção e controle do câncer. Nesse sentido, realizou se uma revisão integrativa de literatura na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde BVS utilizando os descritores: promoção da saúde, educação em saúde e neoplasias. A amostra inicial contava com 158 artigos, e após a utilização dos critérios de inclusão, foram selecionados 11 artigos para análise de conteúdo. Os artigos foram categorizados em quatro temáticas e a abordagem principal dos mesmos estava relacionada ao poder da mídia, das campanhas educativas, da comunicação em saúde, e das práticas educativas em relação ao câncer. Observa-se que tanto a promoção da saúde como a educação em saúde podem ser consideradas como ferramentas no controle do avanço do câncer no país. | |
