A extensão universitária em Cuba: reflexões a partir do 11º Congresso Internacional de Educação Superior "Universidad 2018"

Abstract

Between the 12th and 16th of February 2018, the 11th International Congress of Higher Education “Universidad 2018” took place in Havana-Cuba. The activities involved different areas of Higher Education, including University Extension through the “XIV Taller Internacional de Extensión Universitaria”. The writing of this article excels in presenting the view of the participants, at that moment as extension subjects and their relations with the discussions about university extension, in addition to publicizing the event and socializing the experience lived in a socialist country, which has University Extension as fundamental for the training of students and the benefit of society. In order to achieve this objective, it draws on the design of the event, the participation of the authors in the event and theoretical and empirical reflections provided by the Cuban experience.
