Resumo
Apesar dos avanços tecnológicos e sociais observados na sociedade atual, denominada por alguns de sociedade pós-moderna, nota-se que atitudes preconceituosas ainda são freqüentes e toleradas, em especial quando se trata do preconceito contra pessoas que se relacionam afetiva-sexualmente com pessoas do mesmo sexo. Utilizando-se da Teoria da Identidade Social pretendeu-se compreender um pouco a vivência de homens homoafetivos com relação a um cotidiano marcado pelo preconceito e pela discriminação. Utilizou-se de entrevistas individuais semi-estruturadas com sete homens que se declararam homoafetivos. Os dados foram organizados na perspectiva fenomenológica que resultou em textos narrativos relatando as vivências trazidas pelos entrevistados. Todos os entrevistados assumem no dia a dia uma postura de discrição, colocando o ocultamento da orientação sexual como estratégia de convivência social junto aos grupos de heterossexuais. Condenam os comportamentos afeminados e o estilo de vida promíscuo. Percebe-se alguns conflitos decorrentes deste ocultamento e do receio de serem descobertos, ou seja, eles corroboram com a ideologia heterossexista e hegemônica, mas temem a discriminação. Conclui-se que o grupo entrevistado representa uma parcela de homens homoafetivos que querem ser considerados homens comuns e não categorizados em função de sua orientação sexual. No entanto, para alcançar esta pretensão eles optaram por ocultar as suas preferências, o que acarreta conflitos emocionais eventuais ou constantes no cotidiano de cada um.
Abstract
In spite of the technological and social advancement observed in the current society, named pos- modern by some people from the same one. It can be possible to realize that attitudes with prejudice is still frequents and tolerated, specially when the prejudice is against people that has an affectionate/sexual relationship with people of the same sex. Making use of the Social Identity Theory, it was claimed to understand a little more about the homoaffectionate men existence and their life in a daily of discrimination and prejudice. It was used semi-structered individual interviews with seven men that have declared themselves like homo-affectionate. The facts were organized according to the phenomenonlogycal perspective that has resulted in narratives texts relating the existences brought by the interviewed people. All the interviewed people take on in their day to day a posture of description, when they hide their sexual direction as a strategy of a social living together with the heterosexual groups. The feminine way of life and the disorderly life style were condemned. Its possible to realize that some conflicts were resulting from this attemp to hide and that fear of being discovered, that is, they corroborate with the heterossexual way and the hegemonic ideology, but they are afraid of discrimination. It was concluded that the interviewed people represents a piece of homo-affectionate men that want to be considerated common men and not be labeled through their sexual direction.However, to get this pretension, they usually choose for hide their preferences, in that way, eventual or constant emotional conflicts happen in their daily as well.
