Territórios, barreiras e limites: a contenção da pobreza no espaço das cidades brasileiras

Abstract

The insertion of poverty in the urban space of Brazilian cities is the object of a long and complex ideological struggle, where, on the one hand, we have a large population seeking its legitimate urban space and, on the other hand, the official city that tries to deny its unequal and unfair condition, promoting the image of cleanliness, ordering, sanitation and security, in which a large part of its population does not fit.
