Resumo
INTRODUÇÃO: Os objetivos deste estudo foram analisar criticamente e sumarizar a literatura sobre os estudos que avaliaram os índices de Mudança Mínima Clinicamente Importante- Minimal Clinically Important Difference-MCID de instrumentos de medida nos níveis de atividade e participação para crianças e adolescentes com PC.
MÉTODOS: Foi realizada uma revisão de escopo que seguiu a extensão Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA), seguindo os seguintes passos: (1) especificação do objetivo da revisão; (2) busca, identificação e seleção de estudos potenciais; (3) um plano definido para extrair e categorizar os dados; e (4) relatório dos resultados.
RESULTADOS: Dos estudos encontrados, um total de 14 trataram de instrumentos relativos ao domínio de Atividade e Participação da CIF. Observa-se uma heterogeneidade na escolha do método utilizado, apesar de a combinação dos dois métodos ter sido o mais utilizado. Sabe-se hoje que o método baseado em ancoragem ou a combinação de ambos os métodos são os mais recomendados. Os estudos incluídos contaram com um total de 1585 participantes, com média de idade dos participantes de 8,17 anos e classificação quanto ao nível de funcionalidade nos níveis GMFCS I a V, sendo que a maioria foi classificada nos níveis de I a III.
Abstract
INTRODUCTION: The objectives of this study were to critically analyze and summarize the literature on studies that evaluated the Minimal Clinically Important-Minimum Clinically Important Difference-MCID indices of measurement instruments in activity and participation levels for children and adolescents with CP.
METHODS: Scope review that followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) extension, following the following steps: (1) specification of the review objective; (2) search, identification and selection of potential studies; (3) a defined plan for extracting and categorizing the data; and (4) reporting the results.
RESULTS: Of the studies found, a total of 14 dealt with instruments related to the ICF Activity and Participation domain. There is heterogeneity in the choice of the method used, although the combination of the two methods was the most used. It is now known that the anchoring-based method or a combination of both methods are the most recommended. The included studies had a total of 1585 participants, with a mean age of participants of 8.17 years and classification regarding the level of functionality in GMFCS levels I to V, with the majority being classified in levels I to III.
