| local.description.resumo | With the constant increase of energy consumption in the world, the efficiency of systems and equipment is becoming more important. Silicon Carbide devices are emerging as an opportunity to construct power converters with higher efficiency and higher power density, although they still have considerable cost. The main purpose of this work is to do an extensive comparison covering several AC-DC and DC-AC converter topologies, using Silicon Carbide and/or Silicon devices, for UPS applications. The comparison is made under two operating conditions. Two hybrid AC-DC-AC cost-effective converters are proposed, one for each condition. | |
