Relatos de pedagogos da SRE-OP sobre sua formação inicial

Abstract

The Pedagogy course in Brazil was established 79 years ago by Decree-Law No. 1190/39 and its history shows that it has been constituted full of questions. At the core of these were the identity, the purpose, the proposed curriculum, the dichotomy between bachelor's and teaching degrees, the fragmentation present in the course caused by the establishment of qualifications, the basis of the course being centered on teaching or pedagogy, the reductionisms present in function of the established basis, the breadth of the training offered, the profile of the professional trained - pedagogue or teacher and the field of activity of the graduates. Questions that, over the years, generated discussions and contributed to imposing changes. The data presented were collected for the Master's research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Ouro Preto, which had as its general objective to know who are the pedagogues who work in the public education institutions of the Regional Education Superintendence of Ouro Preto (SRE-OP2). This work aims to present the profile of these professionals and focus on how their initial training process was constituted.
