Abstract

This theoretical essay aims to discuss access to land tenure as a guarantee of the fundamental rights of Family Farming based on the classical literature involving sociology, rural anthropology, agrarian conflicts and public policies. Among the factors that mark inequalities in rural areas are the lack of access to land tenure, information, market channels, official credit channels and fair transport. For human rights to be implemented in rural areas, the basic characteristics of family farming must be understood and respected. In this sense, access to land tenure becomes a fundamental guarantee for the Human Rights of Family Farming, since access to land tenure guarantees social reproduction.
