Resumo
O propósito do artigo é realizar uma análise argumentativa da transcrição de áudios do juiz da comarca de Floriano, município no interior do Piauí, momento em que este justifica a concessão de liberdade provisória de seu filho, preso em flagrante por provocar um acidente e conduzir o veículo sob efeito de álcool. O material analisado foi disponibilizado e divulgado pelo programa Fantástico em abril de 2021. A análise será realizada fundamentando-se, em especial, na posição de Meyer (2013) sobre a construção do éthos e as distâncias que se estabelecem e são articuladas na interação retórica, sustentadas em determinados valores. Além do autor, outras vozes como as de Lima (2016; 2020) e Amossy (2016) serão retomadas, a fim de também consubstanciar a leitura e refletir sobre a forma como a construção da imagem do locutor aciona o paternalismo, em um embate entre projeção e efetivação do éthos no judiciário brasileiro.
Abstract
The purpose of the article is making an argumentative analysis of the audio transcription of the speech of the judge of the district of Floriano, a municipality in the interior of Piauí, when he justifies his decision of grant provisional freedom for his son, arrested for causing an accident and drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The analyzed material was made available and aired by the TV show Fantástico, in April 2021. The analysis will be carried out based, mainly, on Meyer’s theory (2013) about the construction of é thos and the distances that are established and articulated in the rhetorical interaction, supported by some valours. In addition to the author, we will use other voices, like Lima (2008, 2022) and Amossy (2016) to also substantiate the lecture and reflect how the construction of the speaker’ s image is related to the paternalism, in the opposition between projection and effectiveness of the éthos in the Brazilian judiciary.
