dc.description.abstractThe representation of the historical past in the work of Paul Ricoeur is the aim of this research. The way chosen for the investigation involves concepts related to the theme, such as language, narrative, fiction and truth. The reading is deployed from the hypothesis that the Ricoeurian representation theory would develop a critical realism, which does not line up or the parameters of realism object neither relativism. In the finalpart of the dissertation, we will delineate more accurately the contours of historian representation in Ricoeur, mainly from representance neologism, created by the philosopher. Finally, in our concluding remarks, we will rehearse the possibility of approximation between the representation of the historic past and theory of translation by Ricoeur.Keywords: Paul Ricoeur; Theory of history; Representation, Language, Narrative, Truth.

local.description.resumoA representação do passado histórico na obra de Paul Ricoeur é o objeto dessa pesquisa. O caminho escolhido para a investigação passa por conceitos correlatos ao tema, como linguagem, narrativa, ficção e verdade. A leitura é desdobrada a partir da hipótese de que a teoria da representação ricoeuriana teria desenvolvido um realismo crítico, que não se alinha nem aos parâmetros do realismo de objeto nem, tampouco, do relativismo. Na parte final da dissertação, delinearemos de maneira mais precisa os contornos da representação historiadora em Ricoeur, sobretudo, a partir do neologismo representância, cunhado pelo filósofo. Por fim, em nossas considerações finais, ensaiaremos a possibilidade de aproximação entre a representação do passado histórico e a teoria da tradução de Ricoeur.
