Resumo
Este trabalho é parte da pesquisa “Levantamento e análise do desenvolvimento da produção e do estudo sobre o futebol 1980 – 2016”[1] realizada pelo Grupo de Estudos sobre Futebol e Torcidas da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). O presente artigo se debruça sobre a produção das teses e dissertações sobre futebol defendidas no Programa de Pós-graduação Interdisciplinar em Estudos do Lazer (PPGIEL) da UFMG. Os dados utilizados foram coletados no banco de teses e dissertações da CAPES e tratados estatisticamente no SPSS. Para análise qualitativa dos trabalhos, os resumos foram acessados e, quando necessário, o próprio texto completo. Apresentamos aqui as características dos estudos, como: recorrência dos estudos sobre futebol no programa; baixa presença de pesquisadoras; diversidade de linhas de pesquisa em que os professores orientadores estão inseridos; importância do grupo de pesquisa que focaliza o futebol; maior presença de trabalhos que tematizam os estudos históricos e o futebol enquanto espetáculo esportivo, além da análise de cada trabalho realizado em dez anos de PPGIEL.
Abstract
This paper is part of the research “Survey and analysis of the development of production and the study on soccer 1980 – 2016” conducted by the Study Group on Football and Supporters at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). This paper focuses on the production of theses and dissertations about soccer defended in the UFMG Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Leisure Studies (PPGIEL). The data used were collected in the CAPES thesis and dissertation database and statistically treated in the SPSS. For qualitative analysis of the research, the abstracts were accessed and, when necessary, the full text. We present here the characteristics of the studies, such as: recurrence of studies on soccer in the program; low presence of female researchers; diversity of research lines in which guiding teachers are inserted; importance of the research group that focuses on soccer; greater presence of studies that focus on historical studies and football as a sporting spectacle, besides the analysis of each theses and dissertations performed in ten years of PPGIEL.
