dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research is to analyze the occurrence of bullying in the courses of Accounting and Administration of two public universities in Minas Gerais. The research procedure was a survey and the data collection instrument was answered by 773 students enrolled in these courses in 2014. The results of this research suggest a higher incidence of bullying among male students; greater occurrence of this practice in the classroom; the bullying is mistaken for a joke; the most part of the perpetrators believe that bullying is funny and the most part of the witnesses pretend not to see aggression because they are afraid of becoming their target. It is inferred that the reflection, prevention and combat of bullying must also happen in higher education, especially with the help of professionals in the areas of Education and Psychology.

local.description.resumoO objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a ocorrência do bullying nos cursos de Ciências Contábeis e Administração de duas universidades públicas mineiras. O procedimento de pesquisa foi um survey e o instrumento de coleta de dados foi respondido por 773 alunos matriculados nesses cursos em 2014. Os resultados desta pesquisa sugerem maior incidência do bullying entre os estudantes do sexo masculino; maior ocorrência dessa prática na sala de aula; que o bullying é confundido com uma brincadeira; que a maioria dos agressores acredita que a prática do bullying é engraçada e a maioria das testemunhas finge não ver as agressões, pois sente medo de passar a ser o alvo delas. Infere-se que a reflexão, a prevenção e o combate do bullying precisam acontecer também no ensino superior, principalmente, com o auxílio de profissionais das áreas de Educação e Psicologia.
