Resumo
A frequency-domain near-to-far-field algorithm running together with a principal component analysis (PCA) signal processing technique is introduced in this paper. Such approach is employed to reduce the near fields obtained by a finite-difference time-domain with Well-Posed PML (FDTD/WP-PML) code. The technique performance is evaluated when obtaining the radiation pattern of a printed complex antenna. Preliminary results show that when we compare the original radiation pattern with the one obtained by the PCA compression technique, the required near-field data can be reduced significantly.
