Avaliação da dinâmica social dos municípios mineiros criados após a constituição federal de 1988

Abstract

After the approval of the 1988 Federal Constitution, there was a district emancipationist race in Brazil in almost all federative units. In Minas Gerais, there were 130 municipalities between 1988 and 2019. The research explores the evolution of the Minas Gerais Social Responsibility Index (IMRS), for the years 2000, 2010 and 2016, with the objective of measuring the degree of success of the district emancipations that occurred during that period in Minas Gerais and the possible social achievements. Firstly, the variation in IMRS growth in each municipality was calculated in the periods 2000-2010 and 2000-2016. After statistical treatment, it was observed that the dimensions that correspond to the social area contributed the most to the increase in the IMRS of the municipalities analyzed in the period, with emphasis on the “health” dimension as it was the one that had the most positive impact on this growth.
