Abstract

The present work studies a serious problem of health: the infant obesity. This phenomenon comes world-wide growing of overwhelming form, already being interpreted for the Worldwide Organization of Health (OMS), as an epidemic of our time. Ahead of this problematic one, we had as objective generality to carry through a particular interpretation this to carry through a revision of referring literature à this phenomenon in face of the primary attention. We approach the concepts of the obesity, its complications general and effect a work of bibliographical revision demonstrating the infantile obesity in the world, in Brazil, beyond the paper of the nurse for the prevention of the infant obesity de and promotion of the health in the day of day the basic attention. The responsible nurse for the Unit for the Basic Unit of Health must be the conductor of small victories, that take the children if to distance of the obesity, time that a set of small victories can have a significant impact in the entire problem (Brazil, 2008). The nurse only must be stimulator of attitudes that fight the sedentariness, being enough to induce changes in the habits of its customers. The familiar nucleus must be defied to break the propitious environment to the obesity for the routine me the feeding and sedentariness. Practical healthful and of low cost they must be stimulated. The example on the part of the family must be stimulated by the nurse. In the practical one, the nurses who work in the PSF, for keeping a daily contact with the community, must become disseminators of practical of education and the promotion of the health.
