Resumo
O presente artigo propõe apresentar os resultados parciais da pesquisa intitulada “Religiosidade, lazer e periferia: um estudo
sobre sentido, significado e entrelaçamento de práticas culturais juvenis” vinculada ao Programa Institucional de Iniciação
Científica – PAPq, da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais. O objetivo principal foi analisar como ocorre o processo de
articulação entre lazer e religião na comunidade Pedreira Prado Lopes (PPL) MG, situada na cidade de Belo Horizonte – MG, a
partir do Projeto Amor ao Próximo desenvolvido em parceria com a Igreja Batista da Lagoinha. Para tanto, buscamos por meio da
técnica de Observação Participante, já que representa uma estratégia de pesquisa que apresenta aportes metodológicos
sensíveis aos significados e valores constituídos nas experiências dos territórios observados, no intuito de compreender as práticas
religiosas em articulação com a dimensão do lazer. Para a construção das informações parciais descritas no corpo deste
estudo, a entrevista semiestruturadas e evidenciou como a técnica escolhida para compor os conteúdos analisados, como também
documentar o não documentado. As análises realizadas até o momento apontam que existe uma grande carência de atividades de
lazer proporcionadas pela prefeitura de Belo Horizonte para a região da PPL. Além disso, não existe uma articulação entre o
grupo pesquisado e o poder público, devido ao distanciamento entre essas duas esferas sociais. Diante dessa configuração, as
ações de lazer vivenciadas pelo grupo estudado se mostraram vinculadas à igreja ou à própria comunidade
Abstract
This article proposes to present the partial results of the research entitled “Religiosity, leisure and periphery: a study on meaning,
meaning and interweaving of youth cultural practices” linked to the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation – PAPq, of the State
University of Minas Gerais. The main objective was to analyze how the articulation process between leisure and religion occurs in
the community Pedreira Prado Lopes (PPL) MG, located in the city of Belo Horizonte - MG, from the Projeto Amor ao Próxima
developed in partnership with the Igreja Batista da Lagoinha . For that, we used the Participant Observation technique, since it represents a research strategy that presents methodological contributions sensitive to the meanings and values constituted in the experiences of the observed territories, in order to understand religious practices in conjunction with the leisure dimension. For the construction of the partial information described in the body of this study, the semi- structured interview proved to be the technique
chosen to compose the analyzed contents, as well as to document the undocumented. The analyzes carried out so far indicate that there is a great lack of leisure activities provided by the city of Belo Horizonte for the PPL region. In addition, there is no articulation between the researched group and the public power, due to the distance between these two social spheres. Given this configuration, the leisure activities experienced by the studied group were linked to the church or the community itself.
