Dramaturgia de papeizinhos: obra em andamento na plasticidade de textos em fragmentos

Abstract

The article makes use of the notion of work in process in the performing arts, a term introduced in the Brazilian theatrical and academic field by researcher and performer Renato Cohen (1998; 2001; 2006). Work in process originally refers to James Joyce's writing methodology in Finnegans Wake (1939), later appropriated by contemporary theater creators. That notion was unfolded in the procedure of a Tiny papers’ dramaturgy, with the invention of short and very short theatrical and performative texts written on cut-out papers. The author made use of the work in process device in university teaching by introducing the Tiny papers’ dramaturgy as a discipline, with an open agenda and whose core consisted of weekly performative actions. The article reveals, in action, the importance of the discussion of the epistemological bases of contemporary textual creation, as well as its possible articulation by students, in monographs and performative acts.
