| dc.description.abstract | Considering the importance of the institutions, the study aims to analyze the association between institutions and economic growth for the municipalities of Minas Gerais. In order to capture the institutional dimension, an institutional indicator with MUNIC data from the years 2013 to 2015 was elaborated through the Factor Analysis, which was associated with municipal per capita GDP through Correspondence Analysis. In addition, through the exploratory spatial analysis, it was verified that the institutional arrangement of the municipality can be affected by the institutional aspects of its neighborhood. The results demonstrate a direct relationship between the institutional and economic dimensions as well as the formation of "high-high" clusters, for the institutional indicator, in regions such as Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, Triângulo and Norte de Minas. | |

| local.description.resumo | Considerando a importância das instituições, o estudo objetiva analisar a associação entre instituições e crescimento econômico para os municípios de Minas Gerais. Para captar a dimensão institucional foi elaborado, através da Análise Fatorial, um indicador institucional com dados da MUNIC dos anos 2013 a 2015, o qual foi associado ao PIB per capita municipal através da Análise de Correspondência. Ademais, através da análise exploratória espacial verificou se o arranjo institucional do município pode ser afetado pelos aspectos institucionais de sua vizinhança. Os resultados demonstram uma relação direta entre as dimensões institucional e econômica bem como a formação de clusters do tipo “alto-alto”, para o indicador institucional, em regiões como a Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, do Triângulo e do Norte de Minas. | |
