local.description.resumoThis paper presents the development and validation of a nonlinear and multivariablemodel, whose objective is the prediction of level and density dynamics inside tanks that arecontinuously mixed and fed with multiphase fluids with time varying density. Initially, a genericmathematical model for tanks with continuous agitation is deduced, and then the model iscustomized for a real case of a tank that feeds a filtration process of a plant of a large miningcompany in Brazil. The work is concluded with the estimation of parameters and validation ofthe model using data generated by the real process.
