Análise do ganho do RVO e da simetria com o envelhecimento por meio do v-HIT

Abstract

The purposeis to verify if the gain and symmetry of the RVO by v-HIT can be affected by aging. Cross-sectional, observational, and analytical study. The sample consisted of 112 healthy individuals aged between 18 and 83 years, of both sexes, who had no vestibular complaints and who signed the free and informed consent form. All participants underwent the v-HIT exam. The gain of the left posterior and right anterior channels decreased with increasing age, while the symmetry values of the channels showed no difference with increasing age. There was a difference in symmetry between the sexes in the lateral pairs greater in females and anteriorgreate in males. In this study, there was a decrease in the gain of the right anterior and left posterior channels with the aging of healthy individuals, but there was no difference in symmetry with increasing age. There was also a difference in the symmetry of the lateral and anterior pairs between the sexes.
