A literatura engajada de Conceição Evaristo: eixos interseccionais

Abstract

It is intended with this paper, study the intersectional concept used by some of the authoress and from this theoretical approach, to analyze if this theory occur in the main character and also in the story on the eleventh tale of the book “Insubmissas Lágrimas de Mulheres” (2001), by Conceição Evaristo. Therefore, we will point out all the concepts developed by Lelia Gonzales and Sueli Carneiro who already included in their speeches and also in their academic studies the subject of intersectional concept many years before the term “intersectionality” had been formally named. In other words, in their time they were already discussing racism, sexism and social class that existed among social movements and in Brazilian society. in such manner, we will introduce the concept about intersectionality written by Carla Akotirene and Kimberle Crenshaw as a methodological tool by reason of analise and prove if the history named as “Rose Dusreis'' by Evaristo whether or not the story runs through the intersectional bias.
