| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this work was to analyze the differences in the establishment of axiological work priorities of male and female health students. This is a cross-sectional survey study. The sample consisted of 251 students. The instrument used was the Work Values Scale. Statistical analysis of the quality of the measurements and the items of each scale dimension was performed. Both genders prioritized, in this order, the dimensions ‘Stability’ and ‘Achievement at Work’, ‘Social Relations’ and ‘Prestige’. It should be noted that this last item received a much lower average than the others. Indicators of the presence of gender stereotypes were found in the analysis of the dimension items. Female students value positive interpersonal relationships and family-related factors a little more. While male students, they demonstrate a greater need for creative, stimulating and competitive work. | |

| local.description.resumo | O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar as diferenças no estabelecimento de prioridades axiológicas laborais de estudantes da área da saúde do gênero masculino e feminino. Trata-se de um estudo de levantamento do tipo transversal. A amostra foi composta por 251 estudantes. O instrumento utilizado foi Escala de Valores Relativos ao Trabalho. Foi realizada análise estatística da qualidade das mensurações e dos itens de cada dimensão escala. Ambos os gêneros priorizaram, nesta ordem, as dimensões ‘Estabilidade’ e ‘Realização no Trabalho’, ‘Relações Sociais’ e ‘Prestígio’. Destacando-se que este último item recebeu média bem inferior aos demais. Indicativos da presença de estereótipos de gênero foram encontrados nas análises dos itens das dimensões. As estudantes do gênero feminino valorizam um pouco mais as relações interpessoais positivas e os fatores relacionados à família. Enquanto os estudantes do gênero masculino demonstram uma necessidade maior de ter um trabalho criativo, estimulante e competitivo. | |
