Abstract

The development of the present study aims at restoring the good practices of attention to the woman, newborn and family in the process of birth and birth to the health team that works in obstetric center. It is known that the humanization of childbirth is one of the different actions that integrate the National Humanization Policy (HNP), developed by the WHO, whose premise is the humanized care to the users of the Unified Health System, with the aim of reducing the rates of cesarean and maternal mortality, ensuring greater parturient participation in decisions about their health, thus ensuring the maximum well-being of women and the baby. The methodology adopted was the intervention process with the health team that works at the Obstetric Center through collective analysis and situational diagnosis of the service, talk wheels and analysis of the HRP registry book regarding deliveries performed within the hospital, so that it was possible to account in percentages if the actions adopted had results in the issue of humanization of childbirth within the hospital unit. As a result, it was recorded through the analysis of the HRP registry book that in the year 2017, 35% of the normal births had an accompanying, average below expectations, but there was a great interest by both the professionals and the management team of the hospital the interest in proposing improvements where already has been deployed beds with partitions thus promoting the humanization with the pregnant woman, the companion and the baby. It is concluded that the implementation of this study contributes to qualify the practices performed by health professionals during childbirth and, consequently, to humanize the care of women, companions and children.
