Resumo
Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de compreender e analisar as concepções de Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade que os estudantes de uma escola estadual de Belo Horizonte evocam ao analisar a confiabilidade de notícias. Para isso, utilizamos uma sequência de ensino elaborada e validada, ancorada em um currículo CTS, que teve sua culminância em um júri simulado. A sequência foi desenvolvida a partir da seguinte questão sociocientífica: "uma empresa de telefonia pretende instalar uma antena nas proximidades da escola". A partir disso, os estudantes, mediados no processo de ensino e aprendizagem pelo professor de Física, investigaram os conceitos de radiação e seus efeitos no ambi-ente. Analisamos as respostas dadas a uma das atividades realizadas durante essa investigação. Compreendemos que as concepções de ciência, tecnologia e sociedade são diversas e podem abordar questões sociais e políticas.
Abstract
This work was carried out with the aim of understanding and analyzing the con-ceptions of Science, Technology, and Society that students from a state school in Belo Horizonte evoke when analyzing the reliability of news. To achieve this, we used a teaching sequence that was developed and validated, anchored in a STS curriculum, culminating in a simulated jury. The sequence was built around the following socio-scientific question: "a telecommunications company intends to install an antenna near the school." From this point, students, guided in the teaching and learning process by the Physics teacher, investigated the concepts of radiation and its effects on the environment. We analyzed the responses given during one of the activities conducted as part of this investigation. We understand that the conceptions of science, technology, and society are diverse and can ad-dress social and political issues.
