Subjetividades, culturas e lugares atrás das grades: um olhar para a dinâmica simbólica em um centro de ressocialização feminino

Abstract

The primary motivation of this study was to understand the symbolic dynamics that permeates a total institution. lt was considered that the understanding of the specifics of symbolic dynamics would be obtained by observing the relationships among three constructs: subjectivity, culture and place. Thus, in this study, the primary objective is to examine the relationship between subjectivity, organizational culture and place in a total institution. Underlying this objective is the problem of production (and control) of subjectivity in total organizations, Culture (MORGAN, l996; CARRIERI, 200l; CARRIERI; LEITE-DA-SILVA, 2010) and place (LEFEBVRE, l99l) are social productions, in this sense, we tried to, on one level of analysis, reveal how the elements that characterize these social productions already intertwined in the social space of a total institution produce the individual ways of being and relating. Still, admitting the possibility of an inverse relationship, subjectiveconfigurations that produce culture and place, efforts were undertaken in an attempt to identify the forms designed by the subject in order to break with some of the socially constructed elements (culture and place) generating spaces themselves (and alternative) subjectivity. Knowing the need to clarify the locus of research, making it more specitic, look at running this qualitative study, directed to the prisons, places where running the leathers of deprivation of liberty of those guys who transgressed some kind of socially established law. Specifically, there were twenty-six semistructured interviews with people who work, as well as with women serving time in a rehabilitation center for women. The material collected from these dialogic processes with the research subjects was interpreted by the technique of French discourse analysis. Culture produces subjectivity, place produces subjectivity. This work foreshadowed here from theoretical and empirical elaborations developed by different authors, such relationships were suggested by the analysis of most of the discourses produced in this research. Place and culture are therefore inserted in a sphere of production of standardized modes of the subject being and relating. But what is advocated since the beginning of this research is that the subject search, continuously, alternatives to live in the context of social spaces, alternatives that are perceived as manifestations of a reflective subject (GONZÁLEZ REY, 2003). And in the social space of the female social rehabilitation center, it was understood that subjects resist attempts to mobilize and control their production of senses, subjects exert their potential creator facing processes or practices normalizer stamp, or other mode, identified some subversive tactics (CERTEAU, l998) the principles of constituents that would call for a social organization researched, as well as some tactics of the opposition subject to the conditions of his own imprisonment. ln summary, we observed the emergence of subjective natural configurations (or creative"), which contradict (or "fall away" from, or break with) what is socially recognized, opening, so concomitant possibilities for construction new processes of social subjectivity. Based on this movement of significations, or a set of recursive relationships between the individual and society, between "self" and the world (or social space of social rehabilitation center), it is stated that the existence of subjectivities, cultures and places in the social rehabilitation center, and thus the existence of a symbolic dynamics under it.
