Resumo
Esta dissertação investiga aspectos do campo ampliado do livro de artista. Impulsionado pela expansão das fronteiras ocorridas em vários campos da arte a partir dos anos de 1960, o livro de artista, mídia de natureza híbrida e mutante e fruto de processos transgressores, sofreu contaminações, desdobrando-se em livro-instalação, livro-intervenção, livro-paisagem. O livro não é um objeto finito, por possuir fronteiras expansíveis e bordas inapreensíveis. Assim, ao se refletir acerca do mesmo, tornou-se inevitável abordar a biblioteca, os livros, a bibliotecade artista, mais especificamente esse componente relacional intrinsecamente presente entre os códices. Foram investigadas ainda as relações entre o livro de artista e a paisagem, campos que se intersectam, onde a imagem torna-se um dos elos comuns entre eles. São utilizadas nesta reflexão algumas noções oriundas do campo da paisagem, como limiar, desvio e ritornelo, tecendo relações com o pensamento de autores como Maurice Blanchot, em especial, e GillesDeleuze.
Abstract
This dissertation investigates aspects related to the expanded field of the artists book. Driven by the expansion of frontiers within various fields of art from the 1960s onward, the artists books, a medium of both hybrid and changing nature and product of trangression processes, has been influenced , unfolding into installation, intervention and landscape books. Books are not finite objects given they have expandable and inapprehensible borders. Hence, when reflecting on the subject matter, it was necessary to consider the library, books, the artists library, and more specifically the relational aspect intrinsically present among the volumes. The study also looked into the relationship between the artists book andthe landscape, considered as fields that intersect and where the image becomes one of the common links between them. This reflection relies upon notions from the field of landscape, such as threshold, deviations and ritornello, and establishes a dialogue with the work of Maurice Blanchot, in particular, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattarri.
