Resumo
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo discutir a profissionalização da Polícia Civil de Minas Gerais sob o prisma da sociologia das organizações, mais especificamente em sua abordagem institucional. Assim, o escopo deste trabalho diz respeito a discussões sobre tensões estruturais entre modelos de profissionalização, buscando demonstrar que a transição de uma estratégia organizacional para outra implica mudanças significativas na estrutura da organização. A abordagem organizacional é focada na modernização da Polícia Civil através da inserção de novas carreiras administrativas como tentativa de desburocratizar a atividade investigativa e propiciar um apoio à atividade específica da investigação, liberando os policiais de linha para a execução da atividade fim da Polícia Civil.
Abstract
The present work has as objective to discuss the professionalization of the Civil Police of Minas Gerais under the prism of the sociology of the organizations, more specifically in its institutional approach. Thus, the scope of this work concerns discussions about structural
tensions between profes sionalization models, seeking to demonstrate that the transition from one organizational strategy to another implies significant changes in the organization structure . The organizational approach focuses on modernization of the Civil Police through inserti on of new administrative careers as an attempt to reduce bureaucracy in the investigative activity and provide support to the specific investigation activity, freeing the line police for the execution of the activity of the civil police.
