De sonho & drama a Zap 18: a construção de uma identidade

Abstract

Study of the theatrical group Cia Sonho & Drama throughout 25 years of history (1981/2006), approaching its artistic production, cultural events and its importance on the Minas Gerais State and also in the Brazilian scene, as well as its transformation into ZAP 18. The research s goalwas to answer to the upcoming challenges the company had faced since it has moved to the suburb of Belo Horizonte City in 2002, this change of address also brought a new focus on the company s work: the education of children and teenagers and formatting actors. Among theclasses offered to the community, the research was focused on the Capacitating Work Shop, especially the Epical Theater Class, based on the theory of German Playwright Bertolt Brecht, with the goal of bringing reality to the theatrical scene. The research was developed with thecompany s material (play programs, reports, reviews, scripts) and from the observation of the practice during the Work Shops. The scene Have you gone to theater, today? is part of the research.
