Avaliação da intervenção psicossocial em álcool e drogas

Abstract

The present study evaluated the intervention of a psychosocial care service in alcohol and other drugs from the perspective of users, family members and service professionals. This is a qualitative, cross-sectional and descriptive study that used, for data collection, participatory observation and the focus group. The collected data were analyzed through the hermeneutic-dialectic method, resulting in the following empirical categories: daily service; the interference of the structure in the work process; the work process; singular therapeutic design; and evaluation of activities. The study concluded that the intervention offered by the service promoted better quality of life for the users but stressed the need for changes in unique therapeutic projects and in the work process itself, which negatively interfered with the integral care and treatment provided by the service.
