Memória, música, museu: reflexões sobre música antiga entre o Templo das Musas e o Museu-Acontecimento

Abstract

This work intents to discuss the relation between ancient music and the museum as the relation between the ancient music performance studies and the emerging of the modern museums considering the concept of Museum-Event as used by modern musicology. Starting from a review of the main texts on the subject, in particular those about the concepts of memory, music and museum, and more specifically ancient music, it was observed that the relation between music and museum is not very explored by the main authors even in the field of historical performance studies were is supposed to exist an interest on this topic due to the modern connection of ancient an museum. As we've become aware of this absence, our text attempts to relate this ideas in order to expand the field of production on historical performance.
