| dc.description.abstract | Inspired by Eneida Maria de Souza’s work on biographical criticism, I’m carrying out a research on Fernando Pieruccetti’s work and life. He’s famous for the creation of the football teams’ mascots in Minas Gerais and was also an important figure in the visual arts history of Belo Horizonte. This article intends to present a part of this research, starting from the notion of “biographeme” and trying to explore some of Eneida’s ideas on the theoretical and methodological bases of biographical criticism. It’s about the history of Jaburu, one of the most curious characters to dwell the fictional world invented by Fernando Pieruccetti in his football cartoons. This history connects his production as a football cartoonist and his work as a visual artist, showing a complex set of relationships between the sports culture in Minas Gerais and the artistic, cultural and political scene from which it emerged. | |

| local.description.resumo | Inspirado pelo trabalho de Eneida Maria de Souza com a crítica biográfica, venho realizando, nos últimos anos, uma pesquisa sobre a obra e a vida de Fernando Pieruccetti, criador das famosas mascotes dos clubes do futebol mineiro e personagem importante na história das artes plásticas em Belo Horizonte. O que pretendo neste artigo é apresentar, a partir da noção de biografema, um fragmento dessa pesquisa, na tentativa de explorar algumas das ideias de Eneida sobre as bases teóricas e metodológicas da crítica biográfica. Trata-se da história de Jaburu, um dos personagens mais curiosos que habitam o mundo ficcional que Pieruccetti inventou em suas charges de futebol, e ao qual deu vida durante décadas nos jornais mineiros. Uma história que atravessa sua produção como chargista esportivo e seu trabalho como artista plástico, possibilitando entrever um feixe de relações entre a cultura esportiva mineira e o ambiente artístico, cultural e político em que ela foi gestada. | |
